First Date: "I was surprised you wanted hang out with me. I liked you for a minute but I never said anything because I didn't think a woman of your stature would be interested in me, your beautiful.", says Jared.  Payton and Jared sat by the bar in The Gasenvoort Hotel . "Thank You...A woman of my stature?", she giggles placing her glass of Pino Grigio  down on the bar top, "What is that suppose to mean? Annnnnnnyway, I thought you were attractive too, but I didn't say anything because I'm a woman...I didn't want to look desperate, you know. I was kind of, sort of flirting but you didn't seem interested. I figured you had a girl or something. Being that I was there for business, I just left it alone, although I wanted to text you . "So why are you single mister?" "Well I had some bad experiences in the past. Girls cheated on me or they had trust issues, they  were crazy.. You aren't one of those are you? 

Next Day: (Text Messaging)

    Jared: I had a good time with you last night.

    Payton: Me too, your mad cool, even tho I had to snatch you up because you were fronting like you didn't like me, lol.

     Jared: Lol, Ha ha.. So what else do you like to do for fun.

     Payton: I'm kind of low key, but museums, art galleries, seminars, lounges, restaurants... me and my girls are always in Citrus, but other than that just chillin at home.... U? 

     Jared: I'm into Football.. and pretty much the same things you said, I use to take my ex to art galleries...You don't like sports?

     Payton: Well, I like watching the men in their tight ass pants lol, nah but I could watch basketball or wrestling.

      Jared: Wrestling?? lol I'm not going to even ask..lol So when can I see you again?

     Payton: Watchu doing now?

     Jared: Why, you want me to come over?

    Payton: uhhh, no..slow down lol... how bout we go to this spot downtown..

    Jared: My money is funny til the weekend, how bout  we go to Chelsea Piers.. they have Free Kyaking..

   Payton: Kewl sounds like fun..

   Jared: I like you, your my kind of girl ...your not crazy and your down for some free shit, not judging a nigga... Where have you been all my life.. women like you are hard to come by lol...i'll pick u up @ 12

   Payton: smh..lol.. your crazy ...c u then

   

1 Month Later

"OMG  Girl I think this is it.. I realllllllllly like him", says Payton. I actually like him for you but take your time girl, you thought that same thing about Dave, Payton. "Yea but I felt like I was dating my little brother, he was immature... Jared is different, he's a man. He reminds me of Mark when he talks, and Randall because of his style.  He doesn't seem like everyone else he's different." 

4 Month Later
"I'm just saying usually if I call you pick up." "My phone was in the other room Jared!" "So why did it say  my call was forwarded to your voicemail, my ex use to always do that, forwarding my calls while she was with the next dude!""Jared!! Oh my gosh, are you serious??? Your  always comparing me with your ex!!!! I am not her!", Payton screams.  "What is your problem???  I am not cheating on you,  you see another DUDE HERE??!!"  "Yea so when I call, ANSWER.... then when I came up to your job last night, you was all smiling in your "friend's" face... all giddy.. are you fucking him too?!", he says in a serious tone. "You know what is so messed up Jared, is that I really love so many things about you, but your so stuck on your past that you're not really giving our relationship a chance!" "My phone can't even ring with out you having an attitude, I'm getting tired of this, I think we need to have some space maybe we jumped into this too soon...

Next Morning

Ring Ring   "Payton, what's up girl." "Hey, who's this? "It's me girl Gabriel, you don't have my number in your phone?" "Oh it's a new phone,  How are you, long time no here.", says Payton as she grabs an apple out the fridge in a head full of rollers. "I know right, Gabriel laughs.  How is Jared?, yall still together right?" "Yea, he's good...why you ask?" "Oh, okay I was just checking because my sister said she seen him at Citrus on the Upper Westside having dinner with some girl, last night, I just wanted to make sure."  Shortly hanging up with Gabriel Payton calls Jared. 

"Your call has been forwarded to an automated voicemail..."

"Oh okay so it's like that... Just like the rest of them niggas", she says angrily as she redials..
